Dear Brothers,

I hope that you have all had great summers! Things have been busy for the OA this 
summer, with a record size contingent from our Lodge attending the NOAC. Our year 
is half over and we expect to finish it up as one of our most productive ever!

The Fall Ordeal at Camp Jackson is rapidly approaching, and we are expecting 
over 100 candidates to attend. With such a large ORdeal, we need lots of 
help from our members. Right now we still need 20 responsible youth to serve as 
Elangomats, and adults to lead work parties. Being an Elangomat is a challenging 
and rewarding job, and it is a good way to serve others and fulfill your Obliga-
tion. If you would like to serve as an Elangomat, you may call me or Sam Hetrick 
[phone numbers in your program guide]. If you were inducted last year, it's time 
to seal your membership by attaining Brotherhood. To seal your membership, all you 
have to do is come to the Ordeal and help out; you will be given time to complete 
a short class, and then attend the ceremony. For our Vigil Honor members and 
candidates - the Vigil will be Saturday night. I know that this is a busy time for 
everyone, and I hope that even if you can only stay part of the weekend, we will 
see you at the Ordeal.

The Lodge Officers for next year will be nominated at the Second Ordeal. If you 
wish to run for an office, you must submit a letter of nomination to me by Friday 
at 10pm at the Fall [second] Ordeal. The slate will be voted on at the Fall 
Fellowship.

If you are eligible for Brotherhood, remember that making Honor Lodge this year 
depends on you - without at least 50 more Brothers making Brotherhood, we cannot 
achieve Honor Lodge.

I hope that we will se each of you at one of our upcoming events.

Ordeal Needs

One of the primary projects for the Fall Ordeal will consist of removing several fallen trees from camp grounds. To accomplish this task we are asking for members to bring chainsaws. We need all we can get our hands on including industrical size or very laege chainsaws. If you can help in any way we appreciate it.
